David Gemmell Legend Awards: Lista Larga

Desde ayer por la tarde se puede ya votar en la lista larga de los premios de Fantasía por excelencia, el David Gemmell Legend Award. Ésta votación es abierta a todo el público y lo podéis hacer desde la misma página web y hasta el 24 de junio.

No será hasta el 8 de julio cuando sepamos los cinco finalistas finales, y tendremos hasta el 19 de agostos para votar por nuestro ganador definitivo.

Éste año, volvemos a tener una gran lista de autores, con lo que volverá a ser una dura batalla para llevarse el premio principal, el Legend Award. Para esta categoría volvemos a ver nombres como Joe Abercrombie, Mark Lawrence, Brian MaClellan, Jim Butcher, Brandon Sanderson y muchísimos más que podéis ver por vosotros mismos (sí los pongo todos no acabo nunca! XD). Igualmente, y como siempre, es una oportunidad estupenda para coger la lista y descubrir nuevos autores para nosotros. En mes y medio veremos quienes son los elegidos.

La que sí me ha sorprendido, pero por su escasa longitud, es la categoría al Morningstar Award, galardón al mejor debut. Una lista con tan solo siete nombres y que así de entrada extrañan las ausencias de Ken Liu, por The Grace of Kings, Marc Turner con When The Heavens Fall, y Michael R. Fletcher por Beyond Redemption. Para mí al mismo nivel o incluso por encima de algunas de las nominaciones, pero sin quitar ningún tipo de mérito a los nominados, ya que habiendo leído alguno, también merecen estar allí. Aún así, he leído también, que durante las dos primeras semanas la organización admitirá sugerencias de los votantes que se incluirán en las listas, con lo que todavía no podemos descartar alguna sorpresa por aquí.
